We work as winemakers, wine marketers and wine scientists, with some of Australia’s finest local wine producers and our wine industry’s own research organisation.

Importantly, we all enjoy and appreciate wines, and PinotG in particular.

What’s the style spectrum?

Pinot G is a wonderful grape variety, but the range of wine styles being produced from it can cause confusion.

Some are crisp and zesty; some are luscious and rich in texture, while others show combinations of these characteristics.

When you read a wine label, you can clearly see the grape variety but you can’t really know the style of wine that’s in the bottle, and that’s where we come in.

We’ve developed the PinotG style spectrum, a simple labelling graphic that quickly and clearly conveys the style of the wine – from crisp at one end to luscious at the other.

Now you can be sure of the style before you purchase or open the wine.
